Club Presentations – Shaun Wheatley wins “Players Choice”
In what proved to be a close vote Shaun Wheatley proved to be a deserved winner. Club regular Wheatley was nominated for his fairness, willingness to play ne wclub members and his reliability in the leagues.
Club Points Winners -
Top spot was shared between Bert Cotter and Steve Jaques with 156 points who were closely followed by Stuart Lister with 154 points. Ladies winner with 113pts was Sonia Crompton and Tinger Wen won the Junior prize with 114pts.
Most Improved Junior Award -
Lucy Soulby, who’s progress in her England Ranking at both U11 and U13 have been most impressive. Lucy also debuted in the Grimsby 3 Man league for afsquash 2.
Team Captain of The Year -
Paul Matthewman, a consistent and reliable team captain for many years whose team (afsquash J&M Machining) won the Grimsby Div2 League.
Team Player of The Year -
From a very strong list of nominations was Dan Cheetham. Cheetham played for bith the our Lincs team in the Lincs Premiership and afsquash 1 in the Grimsby 3 Man league.
The Mike Pettifor Trophy
Was awarded to Richard Prendergast for his admirable services to the club as treasurer.
