What are the membership and court costs to play squash at AFSC?
AFSC is a members only club and always welcomes applications for new members. Membership renewals are due in September for the following year. Initial Joining Fee £10.00/Re-joining Fee for lapsed Membership.
Annual Membership Squash (Oct-Sept):- Adult £90.00
Joint £135.00 Junior £15* (School Age) * No joining fee for Junior Members. Athletic Club (April-March) £15 (includes membership of the social clubs). All members are required to join the Athletic Club. For further details of the Athletic Club use the AFWAC link on our links page.
Concessionary membership is available to employees of Corus (Annual Membership) Oct-Sept):- Adult £30.00 Joint £45.00 Court

How do I apply to join the mini leagues?

Can I bring a guest?
Yes, guests are allowed but you must gain permission/agreement from any AFSC Committee member prior (min 24hrs) to the event.
The number of times an individual can play as your guest is once per 3 months.

How do I join the Athletic Club/Social Club?
You need first to be a member of Appleby Frodingham Works Athletic Club prior to joining the squash club. You will need to complete an application form and pay the £15 subscription fee. Members are required to ensure their membership of AFWAC is kept up to date.

What do I do if I lose my membership/door fob?
Report it immediately to either the membership secretary (Steve Hame) or the Chairman (Peter Hindmarsh). The fob will be immediately cancelled and a replacement fob issued at a cost of £5.

What do I do if I experience unruly and/or unpleasant behaviour either on or off court?
AFSC have a strict set of rules that includes a code of conduct. Please report the incident at the earliest opportunity to any of the committee members giving as much information as possible including date/time/names/etc. The matter will then be dealt with under the AFSC Rules disciplinary process.

Where can I buy replacement racket grips and Squash balls?
Grips and balls (Dunlop Yellow Double Dot)are available from the vendor in reception at a cost of £2 each. You will need 2x£1 coins.
